Purulia Hosts Grand Tiranga Yatra with 200-Foot National Flag
Purulia, August 9, 2026: Purulia witnessed a grand and colourful Tiranga Yatra on Saturday as part of the state government’s ‘Har Ghar Tiranga’ campaign. The rally featured a massive 200-feet-long national flag, creating a strong atmosphere of patriotism and national pride across the area.
The Tiranga Yatra began from the premises of the Purulia District Magistrate’s office and was organised by the Purulia district administration. The campaign, centred around the slogan “Har Ghar Tiranga,” will continue across the state from August 9 to August 17, encouraging citizens to proudly display the national flag at their homes.
Several senior government officials participated in the rally, including the Purulia District Magistrate, Superintendent of Police and officials from various government departments. Participants marched through the area carrying the giant tricolour, highlighting the values of unity, patriotism and national pride.
The district administration said the initiative is aimed at encouraging greater public participation in the Har Ghar Tiranga campaign and spreading the spirit of patriotism among citizens.
The colourful rally also provided a platform for government officials and members of the public to come together in support of the national campaign, reinforcing the message of unity and respect for the national flag.
