The State Bank of India (SBI) has reported a cybersecurity incident after identifying 3,897 customer records containing personal information among approximately 3.75 lakh records examined on the dark web. The bank says its core operations remain unaffected, while an independent cybersecurity agency investigates the incident.
Mobile users across India will soon be able to identify unknown callers more easily. From November 1, 2026, telecom operators will introduce Calling Name Presentation (CNAP), enabling names to appear alongside phone numbers on supported 4G and newer networks without requiring a separate app or registration.
