Siliguri witnessed the beginning of a nine-day spiritual gathering on Saturday with the commencement of Shri Ram Katha at Panchmukhi Hanuman Ji Temple. Organised by Shri Salasar Darbar Dham, the programme is being held in the sacred memory of Late Guruji Chintarmal Ji Sharma.
The Katha is being delivered by Vani Vibhushan, Tyag Murti Sant Pandit Shambhu Sharan Lata Ji, whose devotional presentations combine religious narration, bhajans and spiritual interpretation of the teachings contained in Shri Ramcharitmanas.
The programme, which began on September 5, will continue until September 13, with daily sessions scheduled from 2:30 PM to 6:30 PM.
Devotees Gather for Opening Session
The first day saw devotees, members and sevaks associated with Shri Salasar Darbar Dham gather at the temple to participate in the religious programme. The atmosphere remained devotional as attendees listened to spiritual discourse, joined in bhajans and reflected on the ideals associated with Lord Ram.
The opening session marked the beginning of a nine-day programme during which various episodes from the life of Lord Ram are expected to be narrated and explained to devotees.
Spiritual Teachings Through Katha and Bhajans
Through his Katha, Pandit Shambhu Sharan Lata Ji presents episodes from Shri Ramcharitmanas alongside spiritual explanations and devotional music.
The discourse highlights values associated with the life and teachings of Lord Ram, including devotion, duty, humility, discipline and service. The combination of narration and bhajans is intended to make the spiritual messages accessible to devotees attending the sessions.
Over the remaining days, devotees will hear different chapters and episodes connected with Lord Ram, along with their religious and social significance.
Programme Held in Remembrance of Guruji Chintarmal Ji Sharma
The event holds particular significance for Shri Salasar Darbar Dham as it has been organised in remembrance of Late Guruji Chintarmal Ji Sharma.
