According to reports published on October 27, preparations for safer festivities are set to begin on October 28. A meeting with Kali Puja organisers is expected to address safety guidelines for pandals and visitors, along with arrangements for the upcoming Chhath Puja and Jagaddhatri Puja.
Police have emphasised that only green crackers will be permitted, subject to applicable restrictions. Firecrackers must not be burst near puja pandals, on main roads or close to electrical installations. Crackers exceeding 90 decibels are also prohibited under the restrictions communicated by the police.
The detailed Kali Puja guidelines were expected to be finalised following the scheduled meeting with organisers on October 28. Residents and puja committees are advised to follow official announcements and applicable safety instructions throughout the festive period.
