KOLKATA, August 10, 2026 : The questioning of Sumit Roy, PA of Diamond Harbour MP Abhishek Banerjee, concluded on Monday after nearly eight hours of interrogation at the CID headquarters at Bhabani Bhavan.
This was the second consecutive day that Sumit Roy, PA of Diamond Harbour MP Abhishek Banerjee, appeared before the Criminal Investigation Department (CID) for questioning in connection with an ongoing probe.
After the lengthy interrogation, Sumit Roy, PA of Diamond Harbour MP Abhishek Banerjee, walked out of the CID office late in the evening.
Speaking to the media outside Bhabani Bhavan, Sumit Roy, PA of Diamond Harbour MP Abhishek Banerjee, addressed questions surrounding allegations that he had gone into hiding.
Breaking his silence on the issue, Sumit Roy, PA of Diamond Harbour MP Abhishek Banerjee, assured that he would continue to cooperate with the investigating agency.
He further said that if the CID summons him again in connection with the case, he would extend his full support to the investigation.
The CID had summoned Sumit Roy, PA of Diamond Harbour MP Abhishek Banerjee, as part of its ongoing investigation. His appearance before the agency for the second consecutive day comes amid continued questioning in the case.
