The programme was led by Income Tax Officer Ashutosh Kumar, who interacted with students and highlighted the importance of maintaining cleanliness and protecting the environment. The initiative aimed to encourage young people to take an active role in building cleaner and more responsible communities.
As part of the campaign, officials and students participated in an intensive cleanliness drive across the school premises and surrounding areas. Students were also encouraged to adopt responsible waste-management practices, including waste segregation and reducing the use of plastic.
The participants were urged to embrace the campaign’s message of “One Day, One Hour, Together” and contribute collectively towards maintaining a clean and plastic-free environment.
To support the school in continuing cleanliness activities, the Income Tax Department provided essential sanitation equipment, including large dustbins, dustpans, brooms, mops, gloves and other cleaning materials.
The school’s principal, teachers and a large number of students actively participated in the programme. The initiative sought to go beyond a one-day cleanliness activity by encouraging students to make sanitation, waste management and environmental responsibility a regular part of their daily lives.
The campaign also reinforced the message that sustainable cleanliness requires active participation from educational institutions, government departments and the wider community.
