Barrackpore: The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) organised a Bhumi Pujan ceremony on Tuesday to mark the beginning of its new organisational district office project in Keutia, located along the Barrackpore–Kalyani Expressway under the Jagatdal Assembly constituency.
The ceremony was attended by Union Minister of State for Education Dr Sukanta Majumdar, West Bengal minister Arjun Singh and several BJP leaders and party workers.
The proposed office is expected to serve as an organisational hub for the party in the Barrackpore area. According to the BJP, the facility will also provide a platform for local residents to raise their grievances and seek assistance with various public issues.
The initiative is part of the party's efforts to strengthen its organisational presence and improve coordination with residents in the region.
