New Delhi, August 25, 2026: BJP MP Sambit Patra on Tuesday said the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) will take Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s ‘Sapt Shakti’ development vision to the people, highlighting the seven key areas outlined by the Prime Minister in his 80th Independence Day address.
Speaking at a press conference in New Delhi, BJP MP Sambit Patra said a clear national goal is essential for a country’s progress and praised PM Modi for setting a long-term development direction for India.
“Future becomes bright when the right leader chooses the right goal at the right time,” Patra said, stressing that the country must remain focused on achieving the objectives laid out under Sapt Shakti.
BJP MP Sambit Patra said the BJP will spend the next few days explaining the different aspects of the Prime Minister’s vision and helping people understand how the seven streams can contribute to India’s growth.
BJP MP Sambit Patra said the first area is manufacturing power, with an emphasis on building strong domestic supply chains and producing high-quality, competitive and durable goods within India. He also spoke about the need for precision manufacturing, localised production and factories capable of meeting global standards.
According to BJP MP Sambit Patra, the second stream focuses on agriculture and food processing. He highlighted the need to improve farm productivity, encourage chemical-free and organic farming and ensure that essential agricultural inputs such as DAP and urea remain accessible to farmers at affordable prices.
The BJP leader identified technology and innovation as the third stream. Referring to India’s progress in digital payments, space technology, quantum technology and artificial intelligence, he said the country is increasingly becoming a major technology and innovation hub.
BJP MP Sambit Patra also underlined the importance of developing data centres within India to ensure greater security of the country’s data. He further mentioned the Prime Minister’s target of training one crore young people within a year.
The fourth stream, BJP MP Sambit Patra said, is Gati Shakti, covering high-speed rail networks, modern highways, airports and inland waterways. BJP MP Sambit Patra pointed to infrastructure development in the Northeast, including airports in Tripura and Guwahati, as examples of the changes taking place across the country.
BJP MP Sambit Patra said the remaining three areas of the Prime Minister’s Sapt Shakti vision are Defence Shakti, Green and Blue Economy, and India’s Soft Power.
PM Modi, while addressing the nation from the Red Fort on August 15 on the occasion of India’s 80th Independence Day, highlighted the seven streams as key strengths that can help India achieve higher levels of development and emerge as a stronger global power.
BJP MP Sambit Patra said the BJP intends to take this vision to citizens and explain its finer details in the coming days, arguing that India now has a clearly defined development target to work towards.
